St Laurence Church

St Laurence Church in Wormley, Hertfordshire is known to of existed in Saxon times. It's believed the original structure was of wood which was replaced with stone at some point during the first half of the 12th century. The short bell tower is actually still of wooden form and is thought by some to contain, at least in part, the original structure.

Over the centuries additions have been made to the church but it still maintains the look and feel of an ancient building steeped in history. Today St Laurence Church is Grade 2 listed.
