"Bach Side of the Moon" the new album from Adams & Lush is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio
Renowned recorder-player virtuoso Piers Adams has joined forces with electronic-trance-chill-ambient master Larry Lush to create Bach Side of the Moon (subtitled Baroque Adagios Reimagined), an album that Adams says “takes the music of the best 18th Century composers, frees it from the court, cloister and cathedral of its time, and gives it a surprisingly-natural new home in the 21st Century chill-out lounge.”
Adams is well-known worldwide for his performances with orchestras across the globe as well as shows and recordings as part of the flamboyant and genre-bending classical quartet Red Priest (their latest best-selling album, The Baroque Bohemians went to No. 1 on the UK Classical Charts). Larry Lush (aka Laurence Elliott-Potter) flies high in the electronic music and remix world with his own recordings, collaborations and productions. He has worked with and written with Mixmaster Morris, Coldcut and Faithless to name only a few of his prestige projects.
Now the duo Piers Adams & Larry Lush has taken sublime adagios composed by classical-music favorites Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Albinoni, Sammartini, Purcell and Gluck, and given the music a twist. Adams plays the main melodies on a variety of recorders (an internal duct flute), sometimes overdubbing several parts, while Lush lays down a richly-woven tapestry of electronic sounds that are spacey, dreamy soundscapes. The result is beautiful music for listening enjoyment, but that has added dimensions when used for relaxation or meditation.

"Dead Air" the new album from Marconi Union is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.
Marconi Union are considered one of the leading ambient (and electronic-synth) acts in the world, continuously topping many lists as the most important contemporary ambient artists around today. The Manchester band often draw comparisons with Brian Eno and Biosphere, perhaps Sigur Ros, but the graceful manner with which their richly melodic compositions unfold and the emotion these evoke sets them apart from their peers.
Dead Air, released on 15th November, is Marconi Union’s tenth studio album in a career that began in 2002. Starting with the following year’s Under Wires And Searchlights, Marconi Union have created an explorative body of instrumental work that’s shifted between electronica, dub, minimalism, avant-jazz and ambient music. Along the way they’ve collaborated with the likes of Jah Wobble, remixed Max Richter and Vok, and provided soundtracks for art installations and other visual media. They’ve also had their own music remixed by Biosphere and Japan’s Steve Jansen, among others.
The new album offers ample evidence of a band in its prime. Marconi Union still sound vital and original, enthused by the possibilities that music has to offer. “We’ve never wanted to repeat ourselves,” co-founder Richard Talbot says. “We’ve made ten albums and have been going for 17 years, but it still feels fresh. That’s been so important for us all the way through. We’re looking to do new things all the time.”
Indeed, the exquisite Dead Air bears only a passing resemblance to its 2016 forerunner, Ghost Stations. The trio have dispensed with beats, brass and guest musicians this time around, opting instead for a more intimate and textural approach, a constantly evolving sound-world of tones and sensory impressions.

Metaphysics, the debut EP from Suazo is now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.
Suazo is a DJ & producer born from the resurgence of the rave scene in California. He creates music inspired by his ever-changing environment. He makes tracks with the sole intention of making people move. Merging genres and cultures without limitation. Seemingly unrelated sounds are juxtapositioned without prejudice, creating a feeling of overwhelming unity. Suazo doesn't break barriers with his music, they do not exist.
Metaphysics is a two-track house/minimal techno EP that explores the concept of retrofuturism. Acoustic meets synthetic, ancient meets modern, in proportions that mirror the artist's physical journey. The contrasting elements are brought together seamlessly to create a single entity.

Now featuring the track 'Sense of Dread' by My Formula.
The A.C.M.E. (Ambient Collaboration Music Experience) album by My Formula is an expression of Chris Bihuniak's music ideas, collaboration with guest musicians and home studio capabilities. Chris is an ASCAP award-winning producer with a history of recording since 1984.
Every My Formula song uses a similar arrangement. They all start with an electric piano chord progression that repeats from beginning to end. Vocals combine different singers and speaking voices with minimalistic lyrics. Other arrangement similarities include combining synthesizers with real electric guitars.
Although Chris wrote and performed most of the parts, he invited guest musicians to collaborate in an unexpected way. Every guest musician recorded their parts with only given a short sample of the song. For example, they might receive 8 measures of just piano and drums in order to create a bass line or guitar riff. Singers were given more creative freedom, but Chris only selected portions of their recordings.
Once the song was finished, guest musicians received a surprise about how their parts were used.

New artist Digital Orchestra with the track 'TinderBox' now featuring on Moon Phase Radio.
Digital orchestra was created in 2008 by Jéremy .T, this project started out in the advertisement business and sound design for a wide rang of brands from the luxury industry (Chanel, Mercedes, Rolex, Porsche etc). Then the project evolved and expanded into short and full-length film entertainment,(Beyond the Blood, Sakura No Cage, Survival).
Today, Digital Orchestra forges freely its strong identity in an introspective and visionary way, leading their imaginative tales for the listeners. This quest for perfection inspires a symphonic fusion between neo-classicism, epic ,ethnic and mystic in origin, which are some key words of this project.
Guided by the limpid, crystalline vocals of Y, an eclectic soprano singer and poetic song writer, her innovative and insightful melodious ideas merge. On one hand Y's voice is wild and incarnate but on the other it's a subtle blend of hyper-sensitivity and angelic resonances, offering an ethereal touch to this new E.P 'Telluric Spin'.
Through the EP, these two artistes join, seeking the treasures deeply hidden beneath our roots. The heterogeneous melodies of this new E.P will project you on never ending distant journeys.
